I wrote the poem “Cry” for everyone who struggles to express the deepest and most painful things that well up in our hearts until they overflow.
Cry
Cry all the tears
that ever knock
that ever dare
to show up
begging for attention.
Gather every tear
that ever falls
hold it
name it
honor it
for its undying
courage.
It is in tears
we find
the beauty
of laughter.
It is in tears
we connect
most deeply
with ourselves.
