I wrote the poem “Look Up” to remind myself that even when the world feels dark and dangerous, there is always beauty and joy to be found.
Sunshine
soft
on the leaves
bids me
“Look up! Look out!”
Warm
bright
kind
forgiving.
Gentle wind
dancing
unaware, unrestrained.
This is my lot.
